I want to make sure every single student in our schools has the strong start they deserve. I am committed to improving our core math and reading proficiencies. These fundamental skills are the foundation of everything our kids will do in life, from solving everyday problems to chasing their biggest dreams. Early intervention is critical, and I will prioritize making sure our schools have the tools and support in place to identify and help students before they fall behind. I am also committed to supporting our English learners, ensuring they have access to the resources and instruction they need to thrive alongside their peers.

I believe that a strong school board starts with transparency and accountability. Every decision we make should be completely open and clear to our entire community. A board that prioritizes politics over students is not the leadership our community wants or deserves. But true leadership also requires active collaboration. I am committed to working hand-in-hand with our parents and teachers, the ones closest to our students. Their voices must not only be heard, but deeply respected in every major decision we make. Together, by keeping our processes open and our partnerships strong, we can ensure our schools truly reflect the values and needs of our community.

My priority will be ensuring our district plans and spends wisely and responsibly, tying every dollar to the district's student achievement goals. But stewardship also means being proactive, which is why the district must always look for new and additional funding sources and carefully plan for future shifts like declining enrollment and aging schools. I will advocate for fair compensation and the vital resources our educators need to succeed. By managing our budget carefully and supporting our outstanding staff fairly, we can build a stronger future for our entire community.
